What is Network in computer and its types?

A NETWORK CONSISTS OF TWO OR MORE COMPUTERS THAT ARE LINKED IN ORDER TO SHARE RESOURCES. EX- EXCHANGE FILE, ALLOW ELECTRONICS COMMUNICATION.
THE COMPUTERS ON A NETWORK MAY BE LINKED THROUGH CABLES, TELEPHONE LINES AND RADIO WAVE SSATELIGHT ETC
BASIC TYPES OF NETWORK:
01.LAN (local Area Network)
02.PAN(Personal Area Network)
03.CAN(Campus Area Network)
04.MAN(Metropolitan Area Network)
05.WAN(Wide Area Network)
06.SAN(Storage Area Network)
01.LAN (local Area Network):
a).A LAN IS A NETWORK THAT USED FOR COMMUNICATING AMONG COMPUTER DEVICES, USUALLY WITHIN AN OFFICE BUILDING OR HOME.
b).IS FAST WITH SPEED FROM 10 MBPS to 10Gbps.
c).Required little wiring, typically a single cable connecting to each device.
02.PAN(Personal Area Network)
a).A PAN is a network that is used for communicating among computers devices, usually home.
b).Is fast ,with speeds from 10 MBPS to 10 GBPS.
c).Required little wiring, typically a single cable connecting to each device.
03.CAN(Campus Area Network)
a).A campus area network is a network of multiple interconnected LANs in a limited Geographical area.
b).A CAN is smaller than a WAN or MAN.
04.MAN(Metropolitan Area Network)
a).A metropolitan area network is a large computer network that usually spans a city or a large campus.
b). A MAN typically covers an area of between 5 to 50 km diameters.
c).Example of MAN: telephone company network that provides a high speed DSL to customers and cable TV network.

05.WAN(Wide Area Network)
a).WAN covers a large Geographic area such as country, continent or even whole of the world.
b).A WAN is two or more LANs connected together. The LANs can be many miles apart.
06.SAN(Storage Area Network)
a).Storage Area Network is a specialized, high speed network that provide block-level network access to storage.
